Jennifer R. Butler, MD

Dr. Jennifer Butler is a board-certified UCI Health obstetrician and gynecologist who specializes in caring for patients during labor and delivery. She directs UCI Health obstetrics and gynecologic hospitalist services and she has extensive experience with labor and delivery, patient safety measures and quality assurance. Butler earned her medical degree at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Va., followed by an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology, also at the University of Virginia. Butler, who serves as associate residency director for the UCI School of Medicine's Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, has a strong interest in medical education and has received numerous teaching awards. Before joining UCI Health, Butler was director of obstetrics and gynecology at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C. In 2009, Butler's peers selected her to receive the "Top Doctors in North Carolinas" award.
